FR REGINALD FULLER RIP:

Some Parishioners may know of Fr Reggie especially through his time at St Mellitus, Tollington Park.  Fr Reggie died on Maundy Thursday.  He was 102 years old, the oldest priest of the Diocese and had been a priest for 79 years.  His funeral will be at Westminster Cathedral on Tuesday 17th May at 10.30am.  May he rest in peace. 

PETER BURKE RIP:

Mary Burke and family would like to thank you for your kind messages of sympathy on the death of her husband, Peter.  Thank you also for the Mass cards, for attending the funeral in Ballycastle and the memorial Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes.  A Mass will be offered for your intentions. 

ANNUAL WEEF COLLECTION:

Please give as generously as you can to support the Diocesan Priests Training Fund.  There will be a collection after all Masses next weekend.

POUND-A-MONTH SPRING DRAW:

This takes place today, Sunday 1st May, after the 9.45am mass in the Parish Hall.  All subscriptions should have been received by yesterday.   New members welcome. Application forms can be found in the Paper Shop.

BERNADETTE CLUB:

This month’s meeting is this Friday, May 6th, between 2 – 4 pm in the Parish Hall.   All welcome.

MASS TIMES THIS WEEK:

There is 10 am Mass on Monday, May 2nd, after which the church will be closed.  There is no 8 am Mass on Thursday.

“RED CAP” CONCERT:

There will be a concert in the church on 14th May at 7.30 pm to raise funds for Lauren Donaghy’s trip to Lourdes as a volunteer “Red Cap” helper for the sick from the Diocese of Westminster.  Lauren will speak at all masses this weekend, and tickets, priced £5, will be on sale.

CHRISM MASS:

On Tuesday at midday many of the Priests of the Diocese will gather with the Archbishop and his Assistant Bishops in the Cathedral to celebrate the Chrism Mass, when the oils that will be used in the coming year will be blessed and the Priests will renew their commitment to Priestly Service.  All are welcome. 

HOLY SATURDAY PRACTICE:

There will be a practice for the servers and for those who are going to be received into the Church on Holy Saturday at 10.30am.  

PAPER SHOP VOLUNTEERS:

New Rotas are available from collection from the Paper Shop today. 

HOMELESS IN BARNET:

During Lent we will be collecting tins of food for Homeless in Barnet.  Please leave your offerings in the box at the back of the church.  Many thanks. 

HOLY PLACES COLLECTION:

This Diocesan collection takes place at the 3 pm service on Good Friday.

LENT:

Stations of the Cross will take place after the 10 am Mass  and at 7 pm on Fridays.  This week the evening session will be led by Churches Together. 

Exposition: Sunday afternoon from after the 12.30 pm mass – 5.30 pm.   

Lenten Discussions: Wednesday, 13th April, at 7.30 pm in the Upstairs Meeting Room, using the booklet, ‘Faithful Pilgrims’.  Also available in the Paper Shop is ‘Walk With Me’ which contains meditations for every day during Lent & costs £1. 

HOLY HOUR:

This Sunday from 4.30pm until 5.30pm there will be a special Holy Hour for those who are going to be received into the Church at Easter.  It would be good if as many people as possible were there to support them.
