THIS IS HOLY WEEK
This week is Holy Week, the greatest week in the Church’s year. This week, in the liturgy, we celebrate the greatest mystery at the heart of our faith: the Paschal Mystery of Christ’s passion, death and resurrection. Let us live these days with faith and devotion. We look forward to seeing you all at church in the coming days.

HOLY WEEK MASS TIMES
Sheets are available from the church porch which outline times of Masses here in Holy Week. You can also see the back of this newsletter. Please remember that the schedule is different this week. In particular, there are no morning Masses on Holy Thursday and Good Friday. There is no 4 pm Mass on Holy Saturday, because the Easter Vigil at 6.30 pm is the First Mass of Easter and the pre-eminent celebration.

TUESDAY: CHRISM MASS
The annual Diocesan Chrism Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12 noon in Westminster Cathedral. Please join us if you can. Please be advised to arrive in good time to get a seat.

HOLY THURSDAY - FOOT WASHING
There is a list in the porch for Holy Thursday at 7.30 pm. Please sit on the outside end of the pew at the Mass. If you have already signed up, please remember to come and let Fr David know where you are sitting. Thank you in advance.

GOOD FRIDAY
Good Friday is a day of fasting and abstinence. There will be a retiring collection here at the 3pm liturgy for the Holy Places.

EASTER COLLECTION
The Easter Collection takes place next weekend. If you will be away, you are invited to leave a contribution before you go. Envelopes are available in the church porch.

HOLY WEEK POSTERS
Please take a Holy Week poster and display it in your window at home, as a way to evangelise our community and to witness to this important week.

ALTAR SERVERS
Fr David would be grateful if altar servers or parents could indicate on the sheet in the sacristy if they will be serving at the Holy Week liturgies. Thank you.

PRIMARY SCHOOL WAY OF THE CROSS
Juniors from our primary school will present their special Way of the Cross for Holy Week in church on Monday afternoon, beginning at about 2 pm. Please remember that school closes at 1.15pm on Holy Thursday - have a wonderful Easter holiday.

LENTEN ALMS & AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED
Thank you for your donations to the Lenten Alms, which raised £878.00. Thank you for supporting the appeal for Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) last weekend.

RCIA (JOURNEY IN FAITH)
The next session will take place on Monday 25 March at 6pm.

CONFIRMATION
Candidates are reminded of their meeting on Saturday 23 March at 4.15pm.

VIRGINIA MELVIN RIP
The Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday 26 March at 10am. May she rest in peace.

ANNUAL MASS OF THANKSGIVING FOR THE SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY
Westminster Cathedral Saturday 25 May 2024 at 2.30 pm. The Cardinal is inviting, to this Mass, all couples in the Diocese, who are celebrating significant wedding anniversaries of Catholic marriage in 2024.  If this is you, and you would like to attend, please email the Parish Office with the following details: husband and wife’s names, wedding date, full postal address and email (or number, if no email).

FAIR TRADE
The Fair Trade Stall is in the hall after all Masses this weekend. There is a limited number of "Real" Easter chocolate eggs available.

CHURCH TOILET - OUT OF USE
Please use the toilets in the Parish Centre until the church toilet has been fixed (this won’t be until after Easter). Thank you.
