EXPLORER SCOUTS NAMIBIA APPEAL CAKE SALE, SUNDAY OCTOBER 20th:
The Hatters Explorer Scouts are raising funds for a trip to Namibia where, two years ago, they built an orange plantation for a local tribe and a watering hole for rhinos in a game reserve.  This is a great learning opportunity for these Scouts, and to do some good, but it comes at a cost. We need to raise over £60,000 for this trip and we need your help.

The Scouts have therefore decided to hold a cake sale after Mass on October 20th in the Parish Hall.  Donations of cakes and sellable items like toiletries, tins of chocolates etc. would be most welcome, and so would your presence on the day to talk to the Scouts about the project, and to enjoy a home-made cake or two!  The Scouts have changed a lot of people’s lives in Namibia with your generous support.  Any donations or for further information please call Caroline on 07754 779171.
