PRAYER FOR THIRD WEEK OF ADVENT
Lord Jesus, you are the light of the world.  You are light in our darkness.
Son of God, save us from our sins.
Bring hope into lives of all people.
Give peace to all nations.
Be the joy of all who love you.
Bless us as we gather here in your name.  Lord Jesus stay with us.

NINE LESSONS & CAROLS:
Takes place on Sunday 18th December at 6.30pm in St Paul’s Church, Woodland Road.  Some of our parishioners are involved in the service, and you are all welcome to attend.

TINS FOR THE HOMELESS:
Once again we will be collecting tins for the homeless this Advent.  Please leave your tins in the box at the back of the Church – thank you.

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
This will take place this afternoon between 1- 5 pm, and again on Sunday 18th December.  Please sign up to watch on the sheets available in the Porch.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK MASS:
Saturday 10th December at 2.30pm.  All are welcome.  Refreshments will follow in the Hall.  Please note there will be NO 10am Mass on this day.

2011 ADVENT TALKS:
This year’s Advent Talks will continue on Wednesday 7th December at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre.  The topic will be the Creed, the Offertory & the Prefaces.

TINS FOR THE HOMELESS:

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:

Meets on Monday 28th November at 8.15pm in the Small Hall.

BAPTISM COURSE:
The December course begins on Monday 5th, with completion of the application forms, between 7 – 8 pm.

CHRISTMAS VOLUNTEERS PARTY:
Everybody who helps in any way in and around the Parish is invited to our Parish Christmas Party on Saturday 3rd December at 7.30pm.

HAYDN CONCERT FOR LOURDES:

A special concert, with champagne reception, takes place at Our Lady of Victories, Kensington, on Friday, November 25th in aid of the Westminster Diocesan Annual Pilgrimage to Lourdes  in the presence of the Archbishop of Westminster.  Tickets from Zoe Decouto on 7931 6006.  Please see the poster in the porch.

“TWO FACED”
Ten Ten Theatre once again invite parishioners to attend an open dress rehearsal of the second of three new plays they are currently producing.  “Two-Faced”, which explores the impact of the internet on teenagers, is on Friday 11th November at 7pm in the parish hall (60 minutes). Age 11+.  Admission free. Your support would be appreciated.

CEMETERY MASSES:
There are masses at Kensal Green Cemetery on 7th November and St Patricks, Leytonstone on 14th November, both at 11.30 am.

NOVEMBER DEAD MASSES:

Please take a list and envelope for those you wish to be prayed for during the month of November.

November 1st is All Saints Day and a Holy Day of Obligation.  Mass will be at 8 am, 10 am and 7.30 pm.

On All Souls Day, November 2nd, Mass will also be at 8 am, 10 am and at 7.30 pm,  which will be a Mass for the Dead, at which you will be able to light a candle in memory of your loved ones.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:

The parents session on Tuesday 1st November will start slightly later at 8.15 pm.  Children: 10 am Saturday 5th, Mass for all Sunday 6th @11.15 am.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS/READERS:

We invite new volunteers for the above ministries to apply by completing the tear off slip at the bottom of this Newsletter and post it through the Presbytery Letter Box – thank you.

McMILLAN COFFEE MORNING:

Next Sunday, October 16th there will be a coffee morning for McMillan nurses in the Parish Centre after all morning masses.  Offers of home made cales and “recycled” gifts for the raffle will be most welcome.  Please come along and make this a huge success!!
