There will be a collection next weekend for Fr. Vincent to thank him for all his hard work whilst he was with us.  We shall be inviting Fr. We welcome Fr Martin Tate who will be our New Assistant Priest and is joining us from this weekend.  Fr Martin will introduce himself at all Masses. Fr Martin was ordained in July and this is his first appointment.

Fr Vincent’s last weekend with us will be this weekend Saturday 31st August/Sunday 1st September.
We would like to thank Fr Vincent for all his hard work during his time with us and wish him every blessing for his  ministry in his new appointment at the combined Parishes of Welwyn Garden City. KOLBE’S GIFT:
Ten Ten Theatre, the Catholic theatre company based in this parish, is staging a production of “Kolbe’s Gift” for a week of performances at The Leicester Square Theatre in October.  The play tells the story of Polish priest Fr. Maximilian Kolbe who gave his life for another man in the Auschwitz concentration camp.  The run of the play is nearly sold out with over 2,500 tickets sold.  However, Clare and Martin, the directors of Ten Ten, have reserved 33 tickets for parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes on Friday 4th October.  If you would like to book a ticket, please sign up with Clare or Martin outside church as you leave today.  Tickets are priced at £20 stalls seats and £15 with restricted view.  Payment is not required today, but reserving your ticket is essential.
