APPEAL - SISTERS OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS AND MARY:

Thank you to all those who gave so generously to the Mission Appeal last weekend by the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.  A staggering £2,522 was raised.  If you would still like to give, please place your donation in an envelope, marked “Mission Appeal” and either pop this through the letter box of the Presbytery or give it to Fr Kevin.

SPONSORED WALK:

Anuli, one of our parishioners, completed a sponsored walk yesterday to raise money for the Guild of Our Lady of Good Counsel, a Catholic Charity that offers support to new and expectant mothers who otherwise may not feel able to keep their babies. They offer  support, both practical, emotional and financial and are in need of funds to continue with this.  If you would like to find out more, and feel able to contribute, you can make a donation online at www.justgiving.com/Anulika-Igboaka.  or else Anuli will be collecting sponsorship after all Sunday masses today.  Thank you for your generosity.

NEW CHURCH FLOORING:

The Sanctuary floor is close to being finished, so Mass next week will be in the church.  NB. There are no 8 am Masses.  Many, many thanks to those who cleaned the church on Friday morning.  A wonderful effort.

PARISH OFFICE:

The office will be open on Monday and Friday only of this coming week.  If you have a non-emergency query please use email rather than the phone on the days the office is closed as the answerphone is not always monitored.  Thank you.

PAPAL VISIT 2010:

HYDE PARK PRAYER VIGIL – 18th SEPT

BIRMINGHAM MASS – 19th SEPT.

We would be grateful if all those who put their names down for either, or both, of these events would now pay for their tickets - £5 for Hyde Park and £25 for Cofton Park.  Please put your payment in an envelope clearly marked with your names and the event being paid for and post through the Presbytery letter box.  Thank you.

Please note that you will need photo ID for both events – a passport, bus pass, driving licence etc.
