CAFOD:
Clare Dixon, from CAFOD, will speak at all Masses this weekend, and the Harvest Fast Day collection will be on Sunday 4th October. Please take a Fast day envelope home with you today, read Margaret's story and pray and fast in solidarity next Friday.
OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL:
Open days for prospective parents will be on Thursday 19th November at 9am and Friday 4th December at 9am.
OCTOBER BAPTISM COURSE:
Begins on Monday 5th October. To complete a form please come to the Parish Hall between 7 – 8 pm. The second part of the course is on Monday 12th at 7.30 pm.
DATE FOR YOUR DIARY:
Ten Ten Theatre are giving a performance of the play ‘Degrees of Change’ on Saturday 24th October (Not Sunday!). This is a Parish Fundraising event and more information about the play will follow. Tickets will be on sale from Sunday 4th October.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PROGRAMME:
First parents meeting is on Tuesday 6th October at 8 pm in the Parish Hall. It is very important that all parents whose children are making their First Holy Communion in 2010 attend.All children, on both FHC courses, begin on Saturday 10th at 10 am in the Big Hall. ALL MUST ATTEND!! The first Mass is on Sunday 11th October at 11.15 am. Families on both courses must attend.
MASS BY ‘PHONE:
We have many vacancies on our phone system, which allows sick or housebound parishioners to hear our 6.30 pm Saturday Mass. If you know someone who may be interested in joining the scheme, please ask one of the priests or leave your details with the Office. Likewise, if a housebound or sick parishioner would like someone to visit with Communion, please let us know.
JOHN LOCKWOOD RIP:
Reception of the body: Monday 28th September at 7 pm. Requiem Mass is on Tuesday 29th at 10 am.
BERNADETTE CLUB:
The next “jolly” will be on Friday October 2nd in the Parish Hall at 2pm. Our seniors would be very grateful if some able-bodied parishioners could volunteer to come to the Hall at 1.30 pm to help set up the heavy tables.

Congratulations to our Cubs who won the Rikki Trophy at the District Five a Side football competition last weekend! Well done boys!
