BECOMING A CATHOLIC:
Are you someone who is thinking of becoming a Catholic, or even simply wanting to find out more about the Catholic Faith?  Is over 18 and not yet confirmed?  This parish runs an RCIA course (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) each year from September to Pentecost on Sunday mornings.  If you would like to know more or would like a place on the course, please talk to one of the priests, or complete an application form, available from the paper shop.  Forms should be returned to the Office as soon as possible.  This year’s course will be starting on 19th September. 

SUMMER FOUR SEASONS DRAW:
Congratulations to the winners:Paul Rigby: first prize of £222.25.Mrs H D’Mello: second prize, £63.50 and Elieen Costello: third prize of £31.75.  New members are always welcome at at subscription of £12 a year.  Application forms are in the paper shop.

COMPASS:
“Compass” is the magazine of Churches Together in this area, and is available at the back of the church each month.  If anyone has an item they would like to see in it, relevant to it’s remit, please let one of the priests, or the Office have a copy.  Thank you.  

BLESSED CYPRIAN TANSI:
The Annual Pilgrimage in honour of the Blessed Cyprian Tansi takes place at Mount St Bernard Abbey, Leicester on Saturday 29th August.  For details please see the poster in the porch, or call Bernadette on 07813 367787. 

PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES BY TRAIN:
Monday 26th – Friday 30th October.Staying in a small family run hotel near to the Domaine the cost is £275.00 per person in a double and £325.00 for a single room.  The hotel can cater for most dietary requirements and there is a lift.  If you are interested, please contact Nicola Santamaria on 0794 777 1637 or email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  To confirm a booking a deposit of £175.00 is required by Monday 7th September and the balance will need to be paid by Monday 5th October.  You will need to arrange your own medical insurance. 

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2010:
Forms are still available from the Paper Shop for the First Holy Communion programme for Parishioners.  Children must be at least 7 years old by 31st August 2009.   If your child attends a Catholic school or attended last year’s course for children at non Catholic schools you need the white form.  The forms must be handed in, in person on Tuesday 8th September  6pm – 8pm.  Please do not return it before then. 

SATURDAY CATECHISM CLASSES:
If your child attends a non-Catholic school and you would like them to make their First Holy Communion please collect a pink form from the Paper Shop.  This is a one year course which then feeds into the FHC course and your child should be at least 6 years old by 31st August 2009.
