FOUR SEASONS DRAW:
The Autumn draw will be on Sunday 9th November after the 9.45am Mass in the Parish Hall. All subs need to be in by Saturday 8th November. New members can join by completing an application form from the Paper Shop.
MAGNIFICAT:
There are free copies of the Magnificat at the back of the Church.This 400 page book for daily prayer throughout November includes daily Mass readings, as well as saints’ biographies and spiritual readings for each day.
APF – WORLD MISSION SUNDAY:
Thank you for your generosity last weekend. A total of £1,505 has been sent to the Missions.
SUNDAY MORNING REFRESHMENT VOLUNTEERS:
New rotas are available in the Paper shop for collection – thank you.
ALL SOULS DAY:
This has been moved to Monday 3rd November this year, and there will be Mass at 7.30 pm on that day where we will all pray for the souls of our departed loved ones.
PENNIES FOR PEACE – THANK YOU:
If you have not brought back your ‘pennies’ this weekend please bring them next weekend and place them in the PAX basket on the Sanctuary.
NOVEMBER DEAD ENVELOPES:
November is the month of the Holy Souls and envelopes and lists are available from the back of the Church for you to place the names of your deceased relatives and friends. Holy Mass will be offered for them during November.
ADMISSIONS TO OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL, LIMES AVENUE:
Admission forms are now available for collection from the School for next September. Your child must be at least 4 years old by 31st August 2009. Please collect from the school.
SICK & RETIRED PRIEST’S COLLECTION:
This very important annual collection will take place on the weekend 8th/9th November.Envelopes for your donation will be available next weekend – thank you.
APPOINTED BY GOD:
This season’s Daily Meditations follow the life and writings of St. Paul in this, the bimillenium of his birth. There is a book of readings and reflections, which you can purchase from the paper shop and which starts from today, 19th October, and covers the next six weeks.
2009 CONFIRMATION:
The Signing Up Session is next week, on Tuesday 4th November between 7.30 and 8.30 pm. Please note, this is a change to the dates on the forms – do not come on Monday 3rd. Forms can be found in the Paper Shop if you do not already have one.
OFFERTORY ENVELOPES:
Anyone who has not previously had a box of envelopes and wishes to make their weekly donation to the Parish by using them for Planned Giving, please complete and return a pledge card which can be obtained from the Paper Shop. Forms handed in now will get a new box from the beginning of December.
