FR DAVID WRITES - HAPPY EASTER - ALLELUIA
We send our warmest greetings for a very Happy Easter! Today is the Octave Day of Easter, a day known from antiquity as the Sunday in albis - in white. Today, the neophytes (newly baptised at Easter) should wear their white garments once more before they are put away - a reminder that we have all been buried with Christ in baptism to rise again with him. The children of the Church, born again in the font, are called to be 'like new-born babes who long for the pure milk of salvation' (Entrance antiphon). Today is like another Easter Sunday, the eighth day, when the Risen Christ again meets his disciples in the Upper Room with words of peace.

THANK YOU
Thank you for the many kind Easter cards, messages and gifts we received. Your support and generosity are wonderful. Thank you also for all the roles and ministries during Holy Week, and indeed, throughout the year. Thanks to those who helped to prepare and clean the church, operate the tickets, and those who supervised the church.

EASTER COLLECTION
Thank you also for your generosity towards the collections in Holy Week - including Lenten Alms, Holy Places, and the Easter collection. If you would still like to give towards the Easter collection please use an envelope marked 'Easter'. Thank you.

ENVELOPES & PARISH FINANCES
The new boxes of Planned Giving Envelopes are available at the back of church. For everyone, this has been a difficult 12 months. We are so grateful for the ways in which people have continued to support the parish and its mission financially. But the lockdowns have had an impact. Next weekend, we will give some headline figures and post the relevant parts of the Annual Financial Return in the church porch noticeboard

PROCEDURE AT CHURCH
Please stay away if you have any symptoms or if it is safer to stay at home. Please use the hand sanitiser on the way in, and wear the face covering inside the church. We must all observe social distancing inside the church, and please, no mingling outside!  Thank you.

FOUR SEASONS DRAW
If anyone would like to be part of the Draw for 2021 please email the parish Office for details or an application form.  The Spring Draw will take place on Sunday 18th April.

FOOD BANK
Thank you all so much for your generous donations to the Foodbank.  If anyone would like to volunteer to help  on a Monday afternoon, please contact Father Matt Harbage (Vicar): 07746 444179 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

TICKETS IN HOLY WEEK
Thank you for your cooperation with the ticket system, which (mostly) went well. It is understandable that some people didn't hear about the ticket system, although not quite as understandable that some others who had tickets didn't bring them with them! If anyone saw the unfortunate scenes from the church in south London, it demonstrates why it is so important that we follow our procedures. Hopefully, we will not have to repeat the tickets any time soon, but the other safety measures inside and outside church continue.
