THE PARISH TEAM WRITE
A big thank you to all who made Christmas go smoothly and successfully here at Our Lady of Lourdes—especially those who manned the carpark and church doors, and to those who cleaned and decorated the church and altar. Special thanks to the children in Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School who made the decorations for the Christmas tree—it looks fantastic! Thank you for the many kind messages, cards and gifts that we have received. We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. We’re exhausted but enjoyed being with you either in person or in prayer over the Christmas liturgies. God bless you all and have a happy New Year.
Fr David, Fr Andrew, Fr Johnson, Deacon Ian, and the parish office team.

APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE
Fr David has made the newsletter himself this week, so apologies in advance for the many inevitable mistakes!

CONGRATULATIONS FR JOHNSON
We send our best wishes and prayers to Father Johnson who celebrated his 29th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood last Wednesday. Ad multos annos!

FOOD BANK DONATIONS
A HUGE thank you to the wonderful response of bringing food for those in need. It has really been a tremendous response.  Thank you to Gerard Barden from our parish council and his family who transported everything to Barnet where it was greatly appreciated.

PRIMARY SCHOOL FORMS
If you need a form signing for primary school entry, or a Certificate of Catholic Practice, please send the necessary papers to the parish office with stamped self-addressed envelope. We will process them and return them to you by post. Please note carefully: do not leave this till the last moment.

EPIPHANY
Wednesday is the Feast of the Lord’s Epiphany. Please remember that the obligation to hear Mass on Sundays and holy days remains suspended as it is impossible to meet the requirements at the present time.

TIER 4—CAUTION
London is in Tier 4 which includes the Stay At Home order. Please follow the guidelines and advice. Keep safe and stay at home wherever possible.  The only activity available here is coming to Mass. Please do not come to the office, hall or presbytery in person—we cannot let you in.

PARISH OFFICE
The Parish Office will be in semi-operation again this week, but please bear with us as the circumstances are challenging at the moment. Please only ring or email. Do not come to the office in person unless this is by prior arrangement.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION
Due to the deterioration in the present circumstances, and because of the current Tier 4 restrictions, we are once again having to reassess and re-plan the start of First Holy Communion and Confirmation programmes. More news will be announced soon.
