This annual event takes place on Wednesday 28th November to raise awareness of Christians persecuted for their faith. There will be a second collection at Mass today.  Thank you.

ENFIELD DEANERY:
Fr David has been appointed as our new Dean. We thank Fr Witon of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St George’s who served as Dean for the last six years. The Deanery comprises the parishes and schools of Cockfosters, Cuffley, Edmonton, Enfield Town, New Southgate, Palmers Green, Ponders End, Potters Bar, and the Italian Catholic Mission.

WELCOME:
At the beginning of Advent we will welcome Fr Andrew Bowden as our new assistant priest. Bishop Sherrington will visit our parish from 29th November to 2nd December. We look forward to welcoming them both.

PRIMARY SCHOOL APPLICATIONS:
If you would like to apply for a Catholic Primary School for your child for 2019 please sign for an appointment in the Paper Shop to have the Catholic Practise Certificate signed by Fr David. Appointments will be on Saturday 24th  or Thursday 29th November.

THANK YOU…
And well done to all our young people who were on Parade last week for Remembrance Sunday, and thanks to all who helped to prepare the celebration.

MICHAEL AINGER RIP:
The Funeral of Michael Ainger, former deputy head of St Angela’s School, will be held at Vita et Pax Church on Friday 30th November at 11 am.

PLANNED GIVING ENVELOPES:
New envelopes are now available (in the Small Hall) for four months only as we will be moving our start date to April from next year.  If you offer Gift Aid you will find a letter in your box asking you to confirm/update your details for the Tax Office.  Please return the forms as soon as you can.  Thank you very much.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS ELF:
Fr David writes: We are looking for 100 generous Christmas elves who would be kind enough to buy a gift for a child with a parent in prison this Christmas.  If you would like to help, please contact the Parish Office after Tuesday when we will give you the details of one child.  You can then buy the gift (not more than £15) and bring it back before 2nd December to be collected by PACT/ Caritas.  Please do not wrap the gifts.  This is a special way for our families to help other families this Christmas!

FOUR SEASONS DRAW:
Following a fallow period the Four Seasons Draw will be relaunched with a Grand Draw in December to cover 2018 and then regular draws from the first quarter of 2019.  If you are a member, and would like to continue, please send in anything owing for 2018 (£1/month) before Friday 15th December.  New members please pick up an application form from the paper shop today.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL:
There is a place available in the current reception class.  If you would like to apply please visit the website www.ololschool.enfield.sch.uk or the school office 8361 0767.

MASS FOR HOUSEBOUND – LISTENERS & VOLUNTEERS:
We would welcome anyone who is, even temporarily, unable to attend Mass and would like to join the congregation at the Saturday evening Mass by phone.  If you regularly attend the Saturday 6.30 pm Mass, why not volunteer to help with this valuable scheme?  Please contact the parish office with any details required.

FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING:
Next Sunday is the solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe - the last Sunday of the church’s calendar and a day of special prayer for young people.
