CANONISATIONS & YOUNG PEOPLE:
Today, 14th October, Pope Francis will make saints of Pope Paul VI (1897-1978) and Archbishop Oscar Romero (1917-1980). In addition to the normal intention, our Mass at 9.45 am today will be offered in thanksgiving for the canonisations.

Please keep in your prayers the Synod on Young People which is currently meeting in Rome.

HOLY LAND AIRPORT COACH:
A reminder for all Holy Land pilgrims who signed up to travel to Heathrow T5 on our coach. We will leave the church car park on Monday 15th October at 4.15 am.  If you are not there at 4.15 (with passport and luggage!), we will assume you have made other arrangements and leave promptly.  NB You need to make your own arrangements to return to New Southgate. Please drop the £20 payment for the Coach in the Presbytery letter box in an envelope with your name on it or hand into the office when you return from the Holy Land.  Payment cannot be accepted on the morning of travel – thank you.

NOVEMBER DEAD ENVELOPES
November is the month we remember our departed friends and family.  Envelopes and lists are available from the Church porch today.  Please take one for your list and return through the presbytery letter box with your contribution for Masses.

NEW ALTAR SERVERS:
If you have made your First Holy Communion and would like to become an altar server please fill in the slip below and hand into the Parish Office.

ROTAS:
New Readers and Extraordinary Minister rotas have been emailed to volunteers.  There are a few printed copies in the Paper shop for those without email.

PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY LAND:
We wish all our Pilgrims a very happy journey to the Holy Land and pray that they will have a wonderful time, as they will be praying for us in the land of Our Lord.

CONGRATULATIONS SCOUTERS!
Congratulations to leader, Chris Nagle, for being awarded the Bar to the Silver Acorn, for 20 years of Specially Distinguished Service To Scouting.  Also to Heike Strasse, who was awarded her Wood Badge for completing her adult leaders training programme and Tom Nagle and Elizabeth Coleman who received Commissioner Commendation Awards for services to Scouting.

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY:
Next Sunday, is world Mission Sunday and the Holy Father invites all Catholics to contribute to a special collection for Missio, his official charity for overseas mission.  Your support on world mission Sunday will help brave missionaries in building a future of hope both in Ethiopia and around the world.  Please join in this special day that unites Catholics all over the world in prayer, celebration and care for our mission of the Church.  You will be able to gift aid all donations by using envelopes at the back of the Church.  Thank you.
