CANONISATIONS & YOUNG PEOPLE:
Next Sunday, 14th October, Pope Francis will make saints of Pope Paul VI (1897-1978) and Archbishop Oscar Romero (1917-1980). In addition to the normal intention, our Mass at 9.45 am that day will be offered in thanksgiving for the canonisations. Please keep in your prayers the Synod on Young People which is currently meeting in Rome.

MACMILLAN THANK YOU:
The Scouts would like to thank those who supported their Coffee Morning Cake Sale last Sunday in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.  Particular thanks go to Lina  and her team for serving the lovely Portuguese coffee in the car park.  A staggering £800 was raised and will be sent to Macmillan's.

CONFIRMATON 2019:
Application forms are available for the las time today from the Sacristy.  Candidates are asked to take a form and sign the sheet with their parents details.  All forms to be returned by 14th October to the box in the Sacristy.

DORIS PAUL RIP:
The Requiem Mass takes place on Friday 12th October at 10 am.  May she rest in peace.

HOLY LAND AIRPORT COACH:
A reminder for all Holy Land pilgrims who signed up to travel to Heathrow T5 on our coach. We will leave the church car park on Monday 15th October at 4.15 am.  If you are not there at 4.15 (with passport and luggage!), we will assume you have made other arrangements and leave promptly.  NB You need to make your own arrangements to return to New Southgate.

ROTAS:
New Readers and Extraordinary Minister rotas have been emailed to volunteers.  There are a few printed copies in the Paper shop for those without email.

NEW ALTAR SERVERS:
If you have made your First Holy Communion and would like to become an altar server please fill in the slip below and hand into the Parish Office.

SECONDARY SCHOOL TRANSFER:
There are still a few appointments available on Thursday. Please note that you must sign up for an appointment and bring the completed self-assessment to that meeting. Fr David will be in the Holy Land from 15th October so it is essential that these matters are completed this week. Please see the list in the Paper Shop.

SENIORS BADMINTON CLUB:
Come and play every Tuesday 11 am – 1 pm. Call Edward on 8361 3624.  

22ND SOUTHGATE SCOUT GROUP:

Our Fairtrade stall will be open next weekend at the usual times.

CHRISTMAS CARDS:
Our Paper Shop is now stocking Christmas cards for all early birds!!

BAPTISM COURSE:
The October course continues on Monday 8th October at 7.30 pm.

CLEANING THE ALTAR VESSELS:
All the altar vessels have to be washed, candles and holders cleaned and altar linen changed where necessary.  All this takes about 15 minutes one day a week after the 10 am Mass.  To know more, please call the Parish Office.

CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY COLLECTION:
CAFOD works with poor communities overseas on our behalf, helping them to tackle poverty and injustice.
