WORLD MISSION SUNDAY:
Next Sunday is World Mission Sunday and the Holy Father invites all Catholics to contribute to a special collection for Missio, his official Charity for overseas mission.  Your support on World Mission Sunday will help brave missionaries in proclaiming the Gospel of peace in South Sudan and around the world.  Please join in this special day that unites Catholics all over the world in prayer, celebration and care for the mission of the Church.  You will be able to Gift Aid your donations by using envelopes provided by Missio at the back of the Church – Thank you.

The stall will be open at the usual times this weekend. This week’s stock includes Fairtrade Advent chocolate calendars.

Christmas Cards are now available from the Paper Shop.

BECOMING AN ALTAR SERVER:

ANNE HORAN RIP:
The Requiem takes place on Thursday 19th October at 10 am.

NOVEMBER DEAD ENVELOPES:
Envelopes  and sheets are available at the back of the Church for you to list your departed friends and relatives.  Please return through the letter box at the front of the Presbytery.  Thank you.

MARGARET CATTRACCHIA RIP:
There will be a Memorial Mass for Margaret on Friday, October 27th at 10 am, after which her ashes will be taken for burial.  The family will return for refreshments in the Hall, to which all are invited.

MARY’S MEALS WORLD PORRIDGE DAY:
This was created in 2009 to raise awareness of Mary’s Meals school feeding programme and the difference a daily mug of porridge served in a school can make to the world’s poorest children.  This weekend Mary’s Meals will be selling porridge for a donation in the Parish Hall after all Masses. Please pop into Church to support this wonderful charity.
