FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING:

The Requiem is on Wednesday, 10th May, at 10 am.

CONFIRMATION 2017:
Fourty seven of our young people will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next Thursday evening. Please keep them in your prayers.

CARITAS ST JOSEPHS:
Working with people with learning disabilities.  Join us for a Sponsored Walk in Arnos Park on Sunday 21st May Meet at 2 pm in the Parish Hall.  Light refreshments with music will be provided  at the end of the walk in the parish hall.  Contact Maggie at St Joseph’s on 020 8202 3999 for a sponsorship form or contribute £5 to take part, if not sponsored.

BLESSED TANSI PILGRIMAGE:

The annual Pilgrimage in honour of Blessed Cyprian Iwene Tansi takes place at Mount St Bernard Abbey, Coalville, Leicestershire on Saturday 26th August.  If you are interested in going, please contact Bernadette Igboaka on 07813 367787.

MAY BAPTISM COURSE:
The course begins on Monday, May 8th when you are invited to attend between 7 – 8 pm to complete an application form.  The second part of the course will be on May 15th at 7.30 pm in the Small Hall.

FAIR TRADE STALL:
The Stall will be open at the usual times next weekend.

VOLUNTEER FOR CARITAS:
Caritas are looking for volunteers to help with the ‘Drop In Centre” on Wednesday mornings here at Our Lady of Lourdes Church.  If you would like to help, or to know more, please contact the Parish Office for further details.

PRIEST TRAINING FUND COLLECTION:

The Annual Collection, which helps fund the formation of Priests will take place next weekend.  The Fund pays for the recruitment of men into Priestly vocations, the training and education of Seminarians at our Seminary, Allen Hall, and the formation of men we send abroad.  It also pays for the ongoing education of priests who will serve in specialised ministries, and their continuing formation whilst in active ministry.  It costs an average of £25,000 per man, per year of formation – that is about £150,000 to form and educate a new Priest, who makes a lifetime commitment to Christ and the Church.
Donation leaflets are available today – please take one, read the information, and bring it back next week.  Thank you for your prayers and generosity in support of the Priests, and the Catholic Church, of tomorrow.  Fr Michael Doyle will be speaking at all Masses next Sunday.

DEMENTIA FRIENDS TALK:
At the Church of Christ the King , Bramley Rd, N14 4HE on Saturday 20th May at 10.30 am.  The Dementia Friends Initiative is run by the Alzheimer's Society and its aim is to help create dementia friendly communities: this talk is designed to increase understanding and awareness of the disease.  All welcome.

SCOUT CAKE SALE:
The Explorer Scouts are holding a cake sale and raffle on Sunday 14th May between 9 am – 1 pm to raise funds for their trip to Peru where they will assist in building a Sustainable Greenhouse to support the poor locals in Viacha village to grow their own food.
