CONFIRMATION CATECHISTS:
New catechists are needed to help with the Confirmation programme for 2016.  If you would like to become part of the team, or would like to know more, please contact the Parish Office.

STRAWBERRY TEA:
John & Janet Butterworth are hosting a strawberry tea on Saturday 6th June in the Parish Hall at 2.30 pm to raise funds for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice on the Isle of Wight.  Tickets £7.50.  The afternoon will include a special gift sale, a raffle and a great auction of lovely items.  To reserve a place call Janet on 01707 664843.

ST MICHAEL’S SCHOOL PRIEST REFERENCE FORMS FOR 2016 ENTRY:
The signing session for Priest reference forms for St Michael’s takes place on Monday 1st June.  Please sign up for an appointment in the Paper Shop today and collect a Diocesan reference form.  Please bring this and the form in your information pack when you come for your appointment.

‘LIFE OF CHRIST’

FR MARTIN:
Fr Martin has been appointed to the Parish of Welwyn Garden City and will be taking up his new appointment in September.  We will be welcoming  Fr Vincenzo Santarcangelo, SSP who will be joining us at the same time.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES AGM:
Our AGM takes place this evening (31st May) at 7.30 pm (after the evening mass) in the Parish Hall.  All parishioners are most welcome to attend and review the year in the life of the Parish.

BERNADETTE CLUB:
The next meeting of the Club is on Friday, June 5th, at 2 pm in the Parish Hall.  New members are always welcome.

MARY’S MEALS:
Mary’s meals arrives this morning, 31st May, to collect all unwanted clothing and bedding (but please – no duvets or pillows) in tied black sacks for easy removal.  Mary’s Meals is a no-frills charity committed to spending 93p in every pound received on its charitable activities with only 6p spent on fundraising and 1p on governance.  You can look at their website at www.marysmeals.org.uk or check them out on Facebook.  They recently announced that they now feed 1,000,000 school children every day.

NEW SOUTHGATE CEMETERY MASS:
The Cemetery Mass will take place on Saturday 6th June at 11 am. There will be no 10 am Mass on this day.

CAFOD PEDAL AGAINST POVERTY:
There’s still time to sign up for CAFOD’s sponsored bike ride on Sunday 7th June.  Spend a fun day out in the Lee Valley and ride either 10 or 19 miles to help CAFOD’s poverty fighting work overseas!  Sign up online at pedalagainstpoverty2015.eventbrite.co.uk or phone 0208 449 6970 for a registration form. 

PARISH SATURDAY CLUB POTTERY SALE

Thank you to all those parishioners who bought products made by some of our SatClub members and for participating in the raffle on the 10th May, which raised £113.00.  Your generosity is very much appreciated.  Raffle prize winners were: Kathy Wurr, Roger Teng, Clare McCarthy, Maria Ward and Jean and Frank Turner.
