The parish will be going to Lourdes next year and I would be grateful for an early indication of interest. The dates will be from Monday the 20th to Friday the 24th of October 2008, the half term week. We expect to depart on a chartered flight from Stansted airport direct to Lourdes in the morning, returning in the early afternoon. The cost will be £455 per person. We are booked to stay at the Mediterranee Hotel, the same hotel that looked after us so well in 2006.
2008 is a very special year. It is the 150th Anniversary of the apparitions to St Bernadette and is also our 85th parish Anniversary! Because there is likely to be a strong demand I have been required to pay a deposit of £250.00 to secure our booking.
As last time we are looking to take some less able bodied pilgrims and helpers, as well as able parishioners. If you are a less able or sick person or you know someone who would like to come or you would like to be considered as a helper, please contact either myself on 0208 882 1522 or a member of the Parish Team. You will need to be well enough to travel and your doctor’s confirmation will be required. Financial assistance may be available for the less able pilgrims or helpers.If you would like to come please add your name to the list in the church porch - please print your name clearly and give the number in the party. Sometime after the New Year we will get together to discuss the pilgrimage in more detail and answer any questions you may have.
