Genesis 22: 1-2. 9-13. 15-18
Abraham responds in faith to God’s call, even though he cannot fully understand it.  In response, the Lord promises to bless him and his descendants.

Romans 8: 31-34
Christ died for our sake and rose from the dead.  Therefore we have nothing to fear.

Mark 9: 2-10
Jesus takes Peter, James and John up the mountain with him.  There they experience a moment that will deepen and sustain their faith.
