1 Samuel 1: 20-22. 24-28
Hannah, who had pleaded with God for a Child, honours her promise and faithfully dedicates her son to God to live a life of service. 

1 John 3: 1-2. 21-25
John reminds us that we are the children of God. We are to be confident in the love that God has for each one of us. 

Luke 2: 41-52
Mary and Joseph have been to Jerusalem, but on the way home they discover that Jesus is missing. When they find him, Jesus wonders why they did not know that this was the work of his Father.
