Deuteronomy 8: 2-3. 14-16

Moses reminds the people that God is the one who has led them from slavery to freedom, and is the one who feeds them.

For St Paul, the Eucharist is a sign of the unity of the Church in Christ. 

John 6: 51-58

The body and blood of the Lord is the promise of eternal life.
