1 Kings 3:5. 7-12

When King Solomon is offered any gift from God, he chooses not riches, nor power, but the wisdom of a discerning heart. 

Romans 8: 28-30

St Paul assures us that despite our sufferings the Lord will bring about his purpose, which is to share his glory now and more fully at the end of time. 

Matthew 13: 44-52

Jesus compares the kingdom of God to the finding of a treasure and a rare pearl.  Bother demand a committed response.
