Leviticus 19: 1-2. 17-18

God calls for the people to embrace holiness by showing love to everyone and avoiding the holding of grudges. 

1 Corinthians 3: 16-23

St Paul points out that God’s wisdom is different from the thinking prevalent in the world.  Every person should be regarded as a temple of the Holy Spirit. 

Matthew 5: 38-48

Jesus tells his followers to take on the challenge of loving enemies as well as family and friends.
