Genesis 9:8-15
God’s covenant after the flood is not only with Noah and humankind, but with all living creatures; and its sign is the rainbow. 

1 Peter 3: 18-22
Peter sees a comparison between the cleansing waters of the flood and the waters of baptism. 

Mark 1: 12-15
Jesus spent forty days in the wilderness with the wild animals to prepare for his public ministry.
