When: Who we are: What we do: The format used is that of ‘Mother's Prayers’ founded by the Solace Community. It lasts about half an hour and is a series of short prayers and readings from the Bible: We pray:
We then either recite one of the Psalms or sing a hymn. This is followed by a prayer to be united with all ‘Mothers Prayers’ groups, a reading from Scripture and thanksgiving to God for the gift of motherhood. The names of our children are put one by one in a basket at the foot of the cross as we place them under Christ’s care. We finish with a decade of the rosary for unborn children. I think I can speak for all the women who attend that our children have benefited from being placed in Christ’s care and we all have a strong feeling of being helped, that we are not alone in caring for our children. Christ is always there, and if we let him he will take care of our families far better than we do. How to contact us:
