WORLD YOUTH DAY NEWS:
The next WYD is in Sydney, Australia from 8 – 22 July 2008. The Diocese is taking a group of 200 young people. If you are over 16 and would like to go download the application form from www.worldyouthday.org.uk . The full cost of the trip is £1,850. The Catenian Association is offering to pay the full cost of the Pilgrimage for two young people – please see Fr. Damian SICK AND RETIRED PRIEST’S FUND:
There will be a collection next weekend and all money raised will be used to ensure that elderly Priests in our diocese receive the care and support they need. Please take a donation envelope home with you for your contribution next weekend. Please give as much as you can. NOTES FOR PEWS:
The Concert is next Saturday November 3rd at 8 pm. Opera of Musicals favourites and unusual instruments. Cheese and wine. Tickets will be on sale after all Masses, PLEASE support the event.
PETER BUMSTEAD RIP:
The requiem Mass for Peter will be on Tuesday 30th October at 10am. SPECIAL NEEDS SATURDAY CLUB:
Meets on Saturday 3rd November 3pm – 5pm in the Parish Hall. ALL SAINTS FEAST DAY:
Thursday as the Feast Day of All Saints, a Holy Day of Obligation.
Masses will be at 8am, 10am and 7.30pm. ALL SOULS DAY:
Friday if the Feast of All Souls and Masses will be at 10am and 7.30pm. The evening Mass is for deceased members of the Parish and the family and friends of Parishioners. There will be an opportunity to light a candle in memory of loved ones. CONFIRMATION 2008:
Applications forms will be available this weekend from the paper shop. They must be returned in person on 19th or 20th November. See sheet for details. 4 SEASONS DRAW:
The Autumn Draw takes place on 11th November in the Parish Hall after the 11.15 am Mass. Subscriptions need to be in by Saturday 10th please. NOVEMBER DEAD ENVELOPES:
You will find envelopes in the Church Porch for your November Dead lists. Please post completed lists through the Parish Letter Box. ALTAR SERVERS:
If you would like to become an altar server, please complete the slip below and return to the Presbytery as soon as possible. WORLD MISSION COLLECTION:
