The campaign by parishioners and residents to make Betstyle Roundabout safer has cleared its first, and main, hurdle: both Enfield and Barnet councils have agreed to feasibility studies on making the roundabout safer. This was achieved despite the lack of a sufficient number of pedestrian fatalities (normally you need a good few people dead before anything is actually done).
