PAPAL VISIT 2010:

HYDE PARK PRAYER VIGIL – 18th SEPT

BIRMINGHAM MASS – 19th SEPT.

All those who signed up for Papal events have been given a place and we are now collecting the money.  For Hyde Park the cost is £5 including children.  For Cofton Park the cost is £25.  Please put the money in an envelope saying which event you are attending and the names of those you are paying for.  This can be posted through the Presbytery letter box. Please remember that if you gave your name for either event but are now unable to attend you still need to pay as the Parish will be charged if your name is on the list.

It is regretted that you cannot transfer your booking to another person.

All those attending the Papal events will need to take with them some form of photo Identity eg Passport or driving licence.

APPEAL - SISTERS OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS AND MARY:

Thank you to all those who gave so generously to the Mission Appeal last weekend by the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.  A staggering £2,522 was raised.  If you would still like to give, please place your donation in an envelope, marked “Mission Appeal” and either pop this through the letter box of the Presbytery or give it to Fr Kevin.

SPONSORED WALK:

Anuli, one of our parishioners, completed a sponsored walk yesterday to raise money for the Guild of Our Lady of Good Counsel, a Catholic Charity that offers support to new and expectant mothers who otherwise may not feel able to keep their babies. They offer  support, both practical, emotional and financial and are in need of funds to continue with this.  If you would like to find out more, and feel able to contribute, you can make a donation online at www.justgiving.com/Anulika-Igboaka.  Or else Anuli will be collecting sponsorship after all Sunday masses today.  Thank you for your generosity.

BAPTISM SIGNINGS:

If you wish to have your child Baptised you can register that you want this done on Monday evening 6th September between 7 –  8pm. Please come to the Brown door. There will be a preparation session the following Monday evening 13th September at 7.30pm.
