The Diocese of Westminster features in a new BBC 4 Television series ‘Catholics’.

"Priests", the first programme, on Thursday 23rd February at 9pm, is a behind-the-scenes portrait of Allen Hall seminary in London.

The second film "Children", on Thursday 1st March at 9pm, focuses on St Mary’s Roman Catholic Primary School Chipping, Lancashire and "Women", filmed at Westminster Cathedral, on Thursday 8th March also at 9pm, focuses on Catholic women and how Catholicism has shaped their lives.

5 – 9 pm, with the Priests and Catechists, on the list in the Paper Shop today.

There has been an unexpectedly  large number of applicants this year so a second date for Confirmation has been added on Wednesday 23rd May.  There will be a meeting for Parents on Wednesday 14th March at 7pm.  Names will be drawn to decide which date will be allocated to each Candidate.

BEREAVEMENT GROUP:
We now have a group of volunteers who have been trained to provide support to individuals who have been bereaved.  This support will be offered automatically to those newly bereaved but if you have been bereaved over the past couple of years and feel you would benefit from this please contact the Parish Office.

Application forms are now available for this year’s Confirmation Course and can be collected from the Sacristy after all Sunday Masses.  Forms must be collected and signed for by the candidate themselves.

JANUARY SALE:
Many thanks to all who supported the sale.  We had a marvellous day and raised £1,450 a great result.  There is a list of prize numbers on the notice board in the Hall Foyer and prizes can be claimed from the office during opening hours.  Many thanks to Janet and John Butterworth for all the work they put into the Sale every year.

PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES:
We are planning to go to Lourdes this year from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th September.  The cost will be £511 per person.  Please indicate your interest by placing your name(s) on the list on the notice board inside the Church, which also contains further details.
