Brightlights Festival
Written by Edoardo Albert
Wednesday, 25 June 2008

The annual Brightlights Festival is now just two weeks away.

Brightlights brings together nearly 1000 young adults over the weekend of 4th-7th July to share in a great experience - including world famous speakers and the best Christian acts you can find.

We will be joined this year by the inspiring Jean Vanier, founder of the L’Arche communities. We will have a whole host of artists including the internationally renowned American musician Matt Maher and his band, award winning U.K Christian rapper Jahaziel, Sounds of Salvation and many more.

Other highlights will include: Cardinal Murphy O’Connor; James Mawdsley, a democracy activist who was arrested for protesting in Burma; Rise drama group, and Sister Judith Russi. There will also be workshops, liturgy and prayer times led by movements and groups from across London. Its not too late to get involved.

This year’s Brightlights is a must for your summer diary – Weekend tickets (from 6 pm Friday evening to Monday lunch) are available – come and camp, stay in dorms or book your own room. Day tickets are also available for any part of the weekend. (Free shuttle bus transport from Radlett is provided – only 20mins from St Pancras).

For further information (including price options from as little as £5) visit the websites www.spec.org.uk and www.brightlights.org.uk  or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 01727 829209.
